and usually has some whopping great speed humps in it too (or in thailand unexpected holes..)
True story: I was in a taxi in a country I travelled in recently and went out to large waterfall/tourist spot down country roads. The waterfalls were lit up with coloured lights. Quite spectacular at night. So it was well after sunset when we returned and my driver failed to spot the newly installed speed humps that were put in place on the road during our visit. I spied the hump at the last second in the dull headlights just in time to brace myself from hitting the roof (no seatbelts in taxi you see) My fellow passenger failed to brace at my "lookout/hangon!!" and earned a nice bruise on the head from the roof as we vaulted this speed hump around 60kmph. This was not a little whimpy speed hump, but a real beauty.
The driver failed to earn a tip from me that night!
The path is walking me even as I am walking the path. If you spend too much time looking at your feet, you won't have any direction. If you spend too much time straining the horizon, you'll stumble over every obstacle. You have to appreciate each moment as it comes, because you will never pass this way again.
(postscript--This thread reminds me of a story about a man who lost a precious item over the side of a boat while sailing down a river. He quickly marked the spot on the bow where it had fallen in, and upon reaching the next port, he searched the water under the spot with the marking but couldn't find what he lost.)
"The path is walking me even as I am walking the path."
Yeh - that's when it really hurts!

Which reminds me of my friend dropping his glasses over the side of an at-anchor runabout. No glasses was going to make the long drive home rather interesting...
We prayed, he jumped in the dinghy and went to shore to get his facemask and flippers... he dived in and found them in about 3 minutes..
Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin and decay. But look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in. - C.S. Lewis
